Don Roderick:

3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 20 PL OK.

32 PL Notes:

0:21 -- "The wine was so fine!" You missed the word "so."

2:21 -- "Go to him; tell him I will give him four or six crowns a visit." You said "four or five."

3:35 -- "Ah, demon of hell! I may still be cured! I may still be cured!" You added in a word, "the," right after "demon of."

Just edit and re-upload by November 15. Great job!

Hello! I would love to read sections 125 (Woman Plague Victim 1) and 55 (Woman 1) if they have not already been assigned. Or anything you would recommend if these roles are not available. I've really enjoyed reading through this novel and would love to be a part of the recording. :)

Thanks!
Catherine

0:14 recording: "the succession of the states" - text: "the succession to the states"
6:41 recording: "overchanges" - text: "overcharges"
11:08 recording: "solely on the account" - text: "solely on account"
14:55 recording: "works on so many different subjects" - text: "works on many different subjects"
15:07 recording: "conjunctures" - text: "conjunctions"
19:06 missing text: "the other, La Ragion di Stato, of the not less celebrated Giovanni Botero" (occurs after Don Ferrante's words: "but profound")
19:06 missing text: "said he" (occurs after Don Ferrante's words: "An honest man, 'tis true")

Once again, a few of these differences change the meaning so microscopically as to be almost undetectable to any but the most obsessive persons. Please feel free to ignore them as you see fit.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this project!

Ready for spot PL.

Only change I didn't make was "solely on account".

5:15 recording: "in her power" - text: "in her own power" (again, this may be too small to correct)
11:24 & 11:26 repetition: "he framed the stories we have already related"
12:08 recording: "by the Roman state" - text: "by the Roman senate"

The narrator sure has a lot to read! Great job!

5:54 recording: "without alluding" - text: "without even alluding"
6:20 recording: "for the days" - text: "for the few days"
13:00 missing text: "And he added that he had" (should occur after the chaplain's words, "his great familiarity")
14:29 recording: "If you have people" - text: "If you would have people"

(A couple of these are very nit-picky; please free to ignore them since they do not greatly change the meaning.)
And another one ready for spot PL!

A few very minor differences, and a repetition:

7:50 recording: "peeping between the crowds" - text: "peeping between the cowls"
9:57 recording: "the churches, public places" - text: "the churches, public palaces"
19:18 & 19:26 repetition: "Who can tell how many times a day the image of this sister came unbidden into her mind, and fastened itself there with terrible tenacity?"
20:14 recording: "the curiosity of the nuns never exercised itself" - text: "the curiosity of the nuns ever exercised itself"

Chapter 9 - Narrator PL Notes:

There is one borderline case where a very slight change in meaning occurs:

12:55 recording: "the ideas thus prepared" - text: "the ideas thus presented"

I'm not sure if it's worth correcting, as the recording makes perfect sense as is. Other than that, this chapter is PL OK.
Aaaaand...last one (for now)!
