Hi,

I'm very interested in getting involved in this production in the Dr. Gall role, Sections 13, 14, 15.

This would be my first dramatic style recording for Librivox. If selected, I have a few questions about the character, and a couple of pronunciation preferences of names.

Please let me know,
Thanks,
Barry (UncaBee)

Great! Thanks!

Now for the questions:
Do you want any sort of accent or just straight up natural?

Gall addresses Domin by name a couple times. Is it "dah' min", like domino, or "doh' min", long Oh sound?

You have marked page numbers but Gall actually enters a page or two sooner in a couple spots.
You want everything, right?

Do you want the stage directions read when they fall in a place at the characters line? Or is that being handled another way?

ie: from Page 48,
DR. GALL enters the room.
DR. GALL
You wanted me?

Or
DR. GALL
A test.
(Sticks it into the hand of RADIUS who gives a violent start)
Gently, gently.
(Opens the jacket of RADIUS, and puts his ear to his heart)
Radius, you are going into the stamping-mill,...

I'll listen to a couple brief chunks of finished pieces to get an idea of how you want it done. I can't wait to get started on this!

OK, I listened through a few bits and I think all of my questions are answered. If you would just like to confirm or give any preliminary notes.
Thanks.

Pronounce the way you heard in the other bits, you can do an accent if you want, but don't have to, don't read stage directions, just the lines your character speaks. :) Good luck!

Just a note to say that I haven't forgotten about this play, but I'm having some computer problems which mean that although I can PL I'm having some technical trouble recording. I'll get on it soon, but will probably need an extension on the 2 month due date (which is coming up soon).

That is fine. :) Take your time.

Regarding the warning in the original post to non-US volunteers, does that preclude me from volunteering for Mr. Fabry? (I'm UK)
