May I take chapters 6 and 7 please?
I notice 6 has a footnote -- what's the usual procedure here for those?

hi sarah, thanks for claiming
footnotes are handled differently in every project. this one will be useful to listeners i think, so please do read it (with footnote / end of footnote at beginning and end)

Any objections to letting me pounce on section 8?
hi eric, welcome to librivox!
you are welcome to contribute to this project. to sign you up, i need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to be credited in the catalog. we can also link to your personal website or blog.
before getting started on this section, please complete your one minute test and wait for feedback! this is not an audition, but rather a way for us to make sure you have the software set up correctly and your recordings are in the right bit and sample rate etc. thanks!

One attempt was too fast once I got to the dialog, second try kept having background noise interrupt. Sigh. Third time's the charm?
aww im sorry to hear that, sarah. it is a learning experience, though. there are also a lot of little features in audacity that might help, like noiseremoval which you probably know already, and there is also a feature to slow down or speed up your recording, but i dont know exactly how to use it. people over in needhelpgotadvice might be able to help out if you have a specific problem and post there

Chapter 7 coming soon, hopefully with a bit less overaspirating my plosives :-b

I would like to read chapter 9, if that is okay.
This seems like an interesting story.

Hi, jDf--Perhaps Carolin has been unavailable for a few days, so I will let you know that the project has a DPL (me! ). You can find the info regarding a project's Dedicated Proof Listener (or lack thereof) at the top of the MW. That said, if you have already PL'ed Chapter 6, then please feel free to post your notes on that one. Otherwise I will PL it at usual.jeandelfrio wrote:Greetings,

(And I've put you in the MW for Chapter 9. You're correct--it is an interesting story. Thanks for claiming!)
Kind regards,
