Welcome to Librivox, Kylie!Kylier876 wrote:Hello! This looks like a wonderful project and I am interested in reading Proverbs (Section 142) I do need to send in my 1-minute test but I will definitely get that finished quickly.
I will reserve Proverbs for you, for when you have had your test approved. I will need to know how you would like to appear in the catalog. Most people go with their real name, but a nickname or forum name will also work. just let me know and we can make it official.
Please be sure to read the first post - it has all the information you need. Also, note that the section number and chapter number do not match up (since Psalms covered several sections). When you read, read "Chapter number..." but when you upload the file, use the section number in the file name. If you need any help, just ask

Here's the first bit of the Plagues, but I'm rather struggling with the type of English for this project, so I think I'll relinquish the Esther and Job parts. I'll finish the Plagues but I'm sure I couldn't keep this up for over 5,000 words at a time!

Thank you. I know what you mean - doesn't exactly roll off the tongue Little allowance is made for the fact it's meant for children in the adaptation of language from the King James version... Just let me know if you decide you want the sections back - or othersElizabby wrote:Here's the first bit of the Plagues, but I'm rather struggling with the type of English for this project, so I think I'll relinquish the Esther and Job parts. Hi James and welcome to Librivox!jamesdk wrote:I would like to volunteer to read the Chapter entitled Jonah.
I'm happy to reserve that chapter for you, but before you record, there are a few formalities:
First, we ask all new readers to submit a 1 minute test. This gets listened to by one of our admins, who will give feedback on the technical aspects. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Secondly, in order to make your claim "official", you will need to be entered into the catalog - so I need to know how you would like to appear. Most people use their real name, but you can use a pseudonym or your forum name, if you prefer. We can also link to a personal website or blog if you'd like. Just let me know.

Hello and welcome!MsG31 wrote:#75-The Story of Ruth
This maybe my first reading, so please use my name "MsG31"
Looking forward to hearing back.
I will enter you in the catalog and sign you up for that section but first, please be sure to submit a one minute test to the Listeners Wanted forum. Once you get the OK from an admin, you'll be set to record.
