I really think this is the go, so I've redone Chapter 1 this way: here it is (same file so don't bother to PL it again).

OK, so both 1 and 2 are these for me to start editing? I listened to 2 and 1 and 2 sounds a bit more natural, but I don't think you need to go back and change 1 because they are so similar.

Shall I start editing1?

Here is the porter:

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/pilgrimsprogress_2_05_porter.flac

Is "Gaius" pronounced "GUY-is" or "GAY-is"?

EDIT: I ended up using both for Mr. Feeble-Mind - there's a repeat in 2.7 with the other pronunciation:

And on this one, I wasn't sure if the last line was speaking to characters Faith and Patience, or if he was exhorting them to keep the faith and patience they had. So I read it both ways:

Chapter 1 is ready for editing, chapter 2 hasn't been officially PLed but if you check it as you go just let me know if anything isn't clear.

Chapter 1 was recorded when I had a slight cold - processing can't fix that I'm afraid!

I am not sure that the volume is right, as Checker wouldn't tell me since it wasn't mp3.

That needs to be manually altered, so until you post again here I don't know you've done it. Fixed now. Go ahead and record your lines - you might need to play around with the settings until you are completely happy with them. However, once you've decided how to process your files please keep them all the same for a consistent sound.

If it's just a line to be deleted it is just as easy to fix that in editing, so these are all PL OK! Excellent work everyone!

Do you want me to change the pitch on my part in Audacity so it sounds like a man's voice on Simple (#25) or should I just leave it exactly how it sounds?

Also, I would like to have the part of the Judge (#35) if that's OK. Thanks! If I may have his part, should I change my voice on that one too, so that it sounds less like a girl? I love doing that, so it is no problem at all!

Maybe leave Simple as is and lower the voice for the Judge to make it sound different? I usually go down 3 semitones - much more and it starts to sound distorted, but it also depends on what your voice sounds like to start with. I suggest saving the unprocessed files, then having a play around with the settings until you find something you like. That way if it sounds too odd you can always go back to the original saved files and have another go!
