[COMPLETE] Post Haste, by R. M. Ballantyne - icequeen
Adele, sections 13 and 14 are yours, but I can't update the Magic Window right now. (Of all crazy things, the power is out, and it won't let me assign your sections from my tablet!) I'll do that ASAP!

Yikes! I hit a busy week and you guys take off!
I may not be able to get to these over the weekend, but I'll make them a priority for next week.
Here's a lick and a promise, though...
Chapter 20 has been spot-checked. Both the places I pointed out are fixed, but for some reason, the volume is coming in just under the target range (85.7 dB, should be 86-90). I thought I checked that the first time, but maybe I missed it.
Adele, could you try amplifying just a tiny bit and uploading one more time?
Thanks,
bookAngel7

Oops! I uploaded the wrong chapter. Here's Chapter 20 (the one that needed to be amplified):

My word, you guys are fast!
Chapters 12, 14, 17, and 18 are PL OK!
For some reason, chapter 20 was still showing up under the target volume, so I amplified it just a touch more. It's also PL OK!
PL notes for the other chapters are below. Not much in any of them!
Chapter 13 -
20:08-10 - background hum
20:34-40, 26:16-19 - long pauses
not quite 5 seconds of silence at end
Chapter 15 -
7:13 - thump in background
13:21-25, 14:22-26, 14:49-54, 15:04-09, 16:53-55, 19:07-10 - stumbles, repeats
Chapter 21 -
11:17-23 - long pause, text missing - Presently Miss Lillycrop raised herself on one elbow, and glared in the direction of her friend’s bed so awfully that her eyes all but shone in the dark. “Did you hear that, dear?” she asked, in a low whisper.
Also, Adele, just as a caution, I've had a little trouble in some chapters with the way your plosives (e.g. "p") are hitting the mic. If you're using a desktop mic, you might try positioning it so you are facing past it, not at it. (That solved a lot of my own problem with plosives.) I don't think it's enough to have to go back and clean up, just something you might want to watch for the future.
Keep up the great work!

I am working on Chapters 13 and 21 PL notes. Could I do Chapters 22 and 23? I am enjoying this project a lot!

Thanks, Adele!
Chapter 15 is PL OK!
I'm having a little trouble with chapter 16, and I'm not sure quite how to define it. The volume level comes out all right in Checker, but in listening to it, I'm having to strain to get some of the words. Also, there's a sort of buzz behind the reading that can sometimes come from over-noisecleaning, and I'm afraid that may be intensified by straight amplification.
Would it be possible to try lessening the amount of noisecleaning and then amplifying it just a little more? If so, I think that might help.
Thanks,
