You bet!

If the rhetoric gets to be too much, you can always record a section that talks more of battles and maneuvers. ;)

Hi Tricia,

Here's Section 17: :D

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/riseandfall2_17_davis.mp3

Time 45:03

Section 17 Erratum:

At 42:08 I voiced "increased insurance, $6,146,19.71" as "$6,146,219.71". This is the correct figure. I did the math.

Bruce.

No rush, Tricia. Meanwhile, perhaps I could start on Section 3. :)

Thanks,

I'll pencil you in. :) Welcome to LibriVox!

We do recommend you do the 1-minute test first, and get it OK'd. It'd be a shame to record a 20-minute section and have a setting wrong, such that you have to redo the whole thing. :) It's not an audition; just a technical check. Here's the link: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a personal web site or blog, if you have one. CLICK HERE for an example of what I'm talking about. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

Hello. I am sorry but I will not be able to finish reading and recording part 4 chapter 32. I was recently accepted into a job that is making it so I don't have enough free time to be able to do this. After everything is settled down I am hoping to have more free time to be able to do this but as of right now, I will not be able to. Could you possibly let someone else have it please? Again I am really sorry, but I hope to be able to do something in the future.

Great! Here's your catalog page:
https://librivox.org/reader/9276

Clicking on Reader Section Details will show you what sections you've claimed and their current status. It's a great place to keep track of what you're doing. :)
