Hi LibriVox,
I apologize but I have to drop out for the recording chapter eight.
I got my I minute test done and its been waiting to be checked.
I thought it would be checked sooner but it hasn't:(
I've already recorded chapter seven and if you can use it here it is.

[filename edited by MC]

Hope you can use it. Our family is moving so there isn't time to record again.
If you can't use it then put it up for grabs again.
I apologize again.

Thank you Anna, I'm sorry to hear you will be leaving LV so soon after joining. Please come back when you can. :D
I've corrected the filename for your section and uploaded it. It will be up to our DPL to pronounce it okay or not, since it sounds like you will not be available for any edits.

Thank you, Lydia! :D
Next time, please also include the length of the section in minutes:seconds - it's just easier that way to get things in the MW. :) The DPL will be listening to your section and will post the results shortly. :)

May I claim chapter 13 as my very first recording!? I still have to finish getting everything set up and submit my test, but I wanted to start with a short chapter out of a book I am familiar with :D

Wow, I didn't realize you haven't recorded anything yet, Tiffany. :) You're getting to be quite a familiar face around here!
Sure, you may have section 13! As I say to every new recorder, get your test done first and you'll thank me for the advice later. :)

Just passing through Tiffany, I noticed you named your file _01 instead of _13 ; this pushed the original _01 file into the background ! I have renamed your file and restored _01 to it's rightful place.

I noticed that your file is 84 dB instead of the 89 dB we prefer, there is a background noise level which will need reducing when you amplify.

Thanks! First recording is bound to have mistakes  I copy and pate the file name ID3 tags and everything so I must have forgotten to change the 01 in the example to 13 in my recording  I did do some noise cleaning, should I do more?

If you amplify your file up to the 89 dB, the noise level will also be amplified and need to be reduced.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to drop my two remaining sections... We are just too busy right now, and I don't have very good recording equipment. Thank you for understanding!
