I can be your MC for this one. I will probably ask for your help in creating cast listings for the project page when we reach the catalog stage - at least, I think it would be a nice idea to have cast listings available for the project page, though I see a lot of the previous collections don't have them either. We can think about that later - it will be some time before this is finished anyway :D
Just let me know what you need me to do always happy to help.

Oh, and I've made a new group page for the One-Act Play Collections, so they can be more easily found: http://librivox.org/group/547

Let me know if you have any questions or problems.
Thanks for setting this up and very excited to be helping to create this collection. :9:

Hi Thanks for that I have updated the link to the book as it needs to go to the link that allows readers to open the play in the format they prefer.

If you create a file and name it

oneactplays_wedding_pronunciation_128kb.mp3

then upload it to lezer who is the admin on this project then post it in the thread and I can add it into the first post thanks.

Hello, I'd like to BC The Slave With Two Faces by Mary Carolyn Davies please.
It's in 50 contemporary 1 act plays: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/36984
The author does not have a wikipedia page, and I can't find a death date for her. I saw an unconfirmed mention of 1940, but it's got a big question mark over it. (She is already in the catalogue, with no associated dates.) The title is likewise not on wikipedia.
There are 12 roles.
It was originally published in 1918.
Character List:
Narrator
Life, the Slave (Could you please note in the MW that it is a male role)
First Girl (I will be taking this role)
Second Girl
A Woman
A Man
A Young Man
A Workman
Old Man
A Voice/Voices off stage
Another Voice/Voices off stage
Third Voice/Voices off stage
So little space, so much to say.

As far as I am aware if this is PD in USA and the writer only published in the USA then the rule of shorter term applies however I will pass it by the admins to see what they think before committing it to the MW

Thanks
Michele

Yes, probably, if the play was first published in the USA, it will fall under the Rule of Shorter Term anyway.
Otherwise, if the date of death is not traceable, we can't do more than our best, and I'd vote for assuming it is OK - especially if there is a rumour that it might be 1940.

Michele, let me know when you want to move to the Dramatic Works forum.

Yes, Mary is American and it was definitely first published in the USA, so shorter term should apply too.
