I think this is the narrator recording for story 12...my files kind of got jumbled up. It might only be part of it again. Let me know if it's right.

Sorry this is still a mostly blank file. I suggest you go back to the original Audacity file and re-export it, then reupload it. It would be a shame to lose all that work!

It would also help me for the PL if you posted how long you think the file should be in minutes and seconds, like this: mm:ss. So 32:45 would be 32 mins and 45 seconds. (Audacity will tell you this if you run the cursor to the end of the file.)

Give it another go, and I think we can sort it out!

This is now PL OK!

I don't edit, but if you want help you can always post in the "Listener's and Editor's" forum for someone to take on a few stories. And for a DPL if you need one, as Kim has now left.

I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to drop the part of the narrator for story 12. I just can't get it to work, and I don't really have time to try again and again. I'm really sorry.

Have you actually recorded it? If you have, and it is in Audacity you can export it as a FLAC file and email it to me if you like. I can PL it and upload it here - would be a shame to lose all your work!

I keep trying to record it, but it's too long for me to do it in one sitting without interruptions, and whenever I stop, Audacity deletes everything before whatever I did. So I can never get the whole thing recorded.

Oh I'm so sorry! I hate for you to have spent so much time on it :(

If you still want to do it, could you submit it in chunks? It wouldn't have to all be in one file, since it's got to be edited together anyway.

Oh dear! That sounds awful! :( Never mind - I'll record the narration if you like. I used my "man voice" for my character so I can record the narration in my normal (female) voice and I think that will sound sufficiently different. If that's what you want, and that's OK with Frances.

Or the role can be formally orphaned through the normal process if Frances wants a different voice.
