I've had a death in the family and won't be around Librivox much for the next while. I'll be back ... when I'm back. I appreciate your patience in the meanwhile. :)

I have recorded these sections. Note that the milkman actually had a couple lines in chapter 11 as well as 8 as indicated - so I tried hard to have a different voice from the fireman in that same chapter 11.ToddHW wrote:Greetings.
May I read 18 milkman, 22 postman, 24 fireman, and 32 footman? None in the same chapters.
Thanks, Todd
Will edit and upload soon.
Thanks, Todd

I have no idea why they have two .mp3 on the end of each of them but I decided not to mess with that. Let me know if there are any troubles with those names.
Thanks, Todd

Perhaps you added the .mp3 when you put in the file name? Audacity automatically adds the .mp3 when it exports the file so it would have gotten added again. Anyway, I have removed the extra one from the file names so all is good.ToddHW wrote:I have no idea why they have two .mp3 on the end of each of them but I decided not to mess with that. Thanks Todd! When I put these in the MW, I noticed that the milkman is only in chapter 8, not 11. Then when's listened to 11, it was just silence. I didn't put it in the MW, but just wanted to inform you.ToddHW wrote:Here they are.

Listen longer in milkman_11 - there are two lines in there. Sorry I left so much silence first!francesb wrote:

Yes, you are exactly correct. I used Export Multiple from a single file I had recorded for all those characters and chapters, with all the separate file names being labels I put in to automatically cut the one file apart into the right pieces. And I did put .mp3 in all the labels. Sorry!KiltedDragon wrote:Perhaps you added the .mp3 when you put in the file name? Hello this is GenesisMyers,
I know I was assigned to do the narrator, and I would like to apologize because I haven't kept up to date about that project. A 14 year old friend of mine passed away about a month ago, and everything has been hectic. I will like to still do the project if it is available (who has what part isn't showing up right now), but I completely understand if you would rather hand off the project to someone else. Again I apologize for my inconveniencing you.
Sincerely,
GenesisMyers

That is totally fine, I'm very sorry about your friend. I would love for you to read the narrator (by the way, ElleyKat is no longer BC of this project, just FWI ) Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sections 6, 11, 15, 20, 25 and 29 are all PL OK.

Enjoy Tom Swift? Perhaps you would enjoy a book about him meeting up with some Diamond Makers
Or perhaps you'd rather talk about music with children.

So, for some odd reason, I can't get the magic window to even show up on my browser, so I recorded from the files of the text I prepared on my computer. I don't know if Elley changed anything, so if I missed something, that may be why. But this is the first time I've had time to record when my roommate isn't here, so I wanted to take advantage of it.
To be on the safe side, I recorded some poems that might possibly be read by Alice or the narrator- it was hard to tell. I also recorded a line in chapter 9 twice and couldn't decide which inflection I liked better, so I left them both for the editor/compiler to decide which one he/she liked better. Same thing with a line ("Oh dear, I wish I had never come.")
