This is not really in the purview of PL, but I thought I'd just mention that I found the excessive hissing on your "s" sounds somewhat distracting.
If you run the Low-pass filter effect set at about 6000 Hz, it'll probably help with the excessive S sounds. Try it and see what you think. :)
Section 7 is done! Let me know if you need any touch-ups, please!
Thanks, sdaeley! What's the run time on the file, please?

Sean,
Thanks for Section 07!
It is totally fine except that you have the ending tag recorded twice-- Once as "This is the end of Section 7," then a second time as, "End of Section 07."

Just snip out the first one, and you should be fine. Post the new running time when you upload it.

Thanks again for your contribution to this project.

~Larry
PS: This is right at the 30 min. mark, so up to TriciaG if she wants 5 or 10 seconds of silence at the end.

Brett,

Sections 35 and 38 are PL OK!

Thanks for your contributions.
Feel free to take on a few more of these . . .

~Larry

PS: I'm still hearing that distortion in your recording. Not quite a reverb, but slightly bothersome, but I'm picky I guess. Don't really know what it is. Are you running any audio effects? Anyone else comment on it?

May I claim section 60?

Hmmm. If you snip out the first, "This is the end of section 7" then the recording itself will be just under 30 seconds, so 5 seconds is fine. (Unless it's already 10 seconds; in that case, leave it.) :P

I've heard it, but don't know what it is, and not sure what to do about it. It's fine for our purposes, but if Brett is planning on going into professional voiceover work, he should probably get it figured out. :)

60 is yours, Tekk!

zerobytes - How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a personal web site or blog, if you have one. CLICK HERE for an example of what I'm talking about. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

Since this will be your first recording, we'll treat the first one as your initial tech test. If it's soon, I'll remember; or else remind me when you post. I turn 40 in a few weeks, so my memory isn't what it used to be. Please only do the one at first, in case there is something wrong which warrants a lot of re-recording. It'll save you some work in the long run. :)

Larry,

Nobody else has commented on it. I now unplug power before I record to eliminate any 60 cycle hum. I am not running any audio effects. Maybe my setup is just too cheap for high quality recording. :(

Probably no one has commented on it because it isn't a very big deal. ;)
