This seems to be appropriate as it is still the holy month of Ramadan in the Islamic calendar, I believe. It is Suratu'l-Alaq, the first several verses of which were revealed during Ramadan on Mount Hira and constitute the first revelation received by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuH) from the Angel Gabriel.

2:14. 2.04 MB
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/msw009_suratulalaq_quran_njb.mp3
Arabic - Suratu'l-Alaq (Al-Qur'an: Surah 96)
Author - To be left blank (see discussion on Admin forum)
http://archive.org/details/thekoran00kazarich
1914
Genre: prose, non-fiction, religion

Note: This recording is recited according to the method usually used for reciting the Qur'an. Therefore, it is similar to singing, but not quite the same.

Hi, not for non-Admins. I'm just referring to the fact that there was a discussion with regards to leaving the author blank for works from the Qur'an in Arabic.

Best wishes,

When artist tag is remained blank, people thinks the reader forgot to put it.
So I think it will better you insert something like 'Unknown' or 'Anonymous'.

Hello Masa,
Have you received the PM that tells you how to update the new MW? You should have the access to make the corrections.

About the foreign characters: if you go to the management dashboard page (clicking on the BC link under the MW), you'll see that the characters display correctly there. This is linked to the cataloguing, so if everything goes well, the characters will also display correctly in the final catalog.
The only thing that is yet going wrong is the display on the forum thread MW. The developer has been notified of this, and will work on it (but is working on some critical things at the moment, so it may take a few days for this to be corrected).

For this collection, it would also be great if you complete the meta-data for each section as well. You should be able to access that as well as the BC: in the management dashboard page, click on the icon of the magnifying glass in the column labeled "Meta" - there you can enter the author name, the link to the source, and the language. If this is filled in, every separate entry will be searchable in the new catalog (when that becomes available, will be in a few weeks).

Let me know if you have any questions, or run into difficulties.

Oh - and the authors are in an "author database" in the new system, so will be better searchable etc. For the Japanese and Hungarian names, of course, there is always the issue of last name / family name order etc. For now, we have decided to put Family Name in Last Name (as it should). This does mean that the author name will be displayed as "first name - family name" on the catalog pages - so this will not be the logical order for the Japanese names. But this will at least make sure that the family name is in the correct column in the database.
Let me know if you spot any problems.

Hello Anna san,

Thank you for your message.

Yes. I'm now practicing how to use the new MW with my solo project. I need to fill 64 rows. Quite a job.
Once I'm confident with my operation, I'll start update the MW of this project.

For the moment if something need to be fixed besides what I mentioned, please let me know.
One month is a long time.

Cheers,
Masa

I can't assign the reader. Maybe it's a bug or I don't have a necessary privilege.

hi Masa,
Did you try the button at the top of the table - it is labeled "Assign Reader sections" ?
That is the way to add the reader for a section now. This lets you add the reader through a dropdown list - this is to make it extra secure that the right reader is linked (in the old database that was sometimes incorrect).
I'll send you a PM with a link to the BC instructions, also has the info about metadata.
