Thank you, Herman! For everything! And I look forward to hearing you. I absolutely promise everybody that I will not include anything in the song that doesn't make you all sound fantastic. Oh, the wonders of Audacity! ;)

Section 07 is now PL OK
Section 25 By BookAngel7 . Checker finds 93.7dB. It sounds a bit to loud. When amplifying -4dB, the file is OK . As to the reading, it is word perfect OK.
Section 58 by Commonsparrow is now PL OK.
Section 71 read by Rapunzelina is also PL OK

Thank you, Joseph.

And very many thanks, Herman. You are doing a spiffing job!

I am still struggling with my evil pirates, but it should be ready in a day or two now.

That's a real switch! :D

Usually I have to manually amplify to get anywhere close to the target. I don't remember if I did any fiddling with the volume before, but the de-amplified file has been re-uploaded. Hopefully it doesn't sound over-processed.

Section 82
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/rg/8thanniversary_bergerette18siècle_hr.mp3
3min 3secs
Que ne suis-je la fougère, Bergerette du 18ième siècle, from : Bergerettes, romances et chansons du 18ième siècle. (Page 12)
By Riboutté, Music by Pergolesi, arranger J. B. Weckerlin
Edited in Paris, by Heugel in 1898
http://imslp.org/wiki/Bergerettes,_Romances_et_Chansons_du_XVIIIe_si%C3%A8cle_(Weckerlin,_Jean-Baptiste).
I didn’t imagine it would be so difficult to synchronize the two parts. (I dare not think about how this might be with the anniversary song, when you have thousands of LibriVoxers singing altogether :hmm: )

Thank you, Bookangel for adjusting the volume, and Herman for listening.:)
Thank you, Herman! Absolutely delightful! I have just tweaked the file name, as the grave accent gave the server hiccups ;).

Yes, the birthday song is going to be quite fun with all these lovely voices. I can't wait to get started on it.

I listened to the readings of fink, section 66 and the admirable text of section 85 read by CommonSparrow.
They are excellently read and WP PL ok.
The "PLOK" of sect 74 and 84 read by CommonSparrow seems to be inverted in the MW. Anyway, they are all two ok.

My last section: section 83
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/rg/8thanniversary_achteoctavheft_hr.mp3
18min53sec.
Thank you so much Ruthie for your gentleness, but I am only taking a tiny part of what you are assuming every day. The true gem is not me. :)
So now, I wait for the remaining sections to come. The end of the month is approaching. 8-)

I would never have found this story had it not been for this collection. And it is a splendid one, I think :).

Herman:

Section 83 has just one little repeat: 9:19 and 9:25 Repeat: Von damals an wurde ich in der Oper ein häufiger Gast.

I can't claim to have understood most of it, my German is too rusty , but it was beautifully read :).
