Hi Andy,
I took a quick look at the text. It looks like a good one.
Thanks for Do Unto Others!

Do Unto Others is PL OK.
Note that there is about 5 seconds of silence at the beginning of the recording. Since the first post does not specify any length, this is technically OK but the BC may wish to have you shorten it. Also, the Album title in the Metadata is different than what the first post indicates. This also is up to the BC to determine whether they wish to have it corrected. A fine story and very nicely read !!!

Many thanks Phil,
I'm still a little 'wet behind the ears' and miss a few things; so, can you tell me for future reference, should the Album title simply have read: Librivox Short Sci-fi Story Collection, vol.048.
Perhaps this is another candidate for your very useful videos, which I have been gleaning a few editing tips from, thanks also for these.
Best regards,
Andy

Thanks for the compliment Andy; I try to make 'em useful.
Regarding the ID3 tags always use exactly what is specified in the first post of any project. In this case it is
Title: [story title]
Artist: [author name] (trans. by [translator name])
Album: Librivox Short Sci-fi Story Collection, vol. 048
and you can see what it says for the album. Also, I have made a video about this stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POcpjp-T4EU although it may not cover what you wish. If not, please let me know so I can have the fun of making another one :D Image

Hi Phil and Andy,
If it is still at 5 seconds that is okay with me. 1/2 to 1 second for future ones is best.
Thanks,
Amy :D

Thanks Amy,
I shall make a note and try to remember this next time.
Also:
I was thinking of recording "The Land Ironclads" H.G.Wells (1903); I'm fairly sure it's in the PD and can be found on PG Australia (http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks06/0604041h.html; do you have any thoughts on this?

Andy

Hi Andy,
I am looking into it. The issue is where did the scan come from. It is on Wikisource, too. What Librivox links to as a source needs to be from a book published prior to 1923 and references in Wikipedia mention a short story collection from 1927, but also a 1909 citation, and PG AU is vague. Neither seem to claim or link to the issue of Strand or the 1909 source. The good news is PG is starting to scan Strand magazine. But they don't have 1903 in there yet.
So again I'm looking into it to make sure it is from one of the PD sources. I'll back to you on it.

Thanks,
Amy
