At the last moment, I decided not to read this section in my "talk like a pirate" voice.

I ain't nauseated yet but once I did a theatrical performance about puns; it was a play on words.

Thank you. I am sure it will be proclaimed 'good' ... or at least acceptable according to government standards with less than 03% chicken fat and creation by products. Whew, that was a long story and you did it in a very short time. amazing. Well, perhaps we had better wait till the reviews are in.

PL OK! Outstanding reading! (Though the story has some words that are now considered very offensive.)

I have another favorite reader here.

It's all in the context.

I did a little research on the author, E. K. Means. "Negro" stories were his genre. The character "Vinegar Atts" in this story was a real person, and the characters and locations were based on actual ones.

Here is a collection of his stories including some of the same characters seen in Ten-foot Chain:

so for the end of book, I'm supposed to say "by Max Brand"

for my chapter I say the actual author of that chapter though right?

I just read it but still need to edit, so after getting the answer I should be able to finish this up and post it pretty soon.

Good point. Yes, for your story, say the name of the piece and it's author. For the end of th book leave off the Max Brand, just say "End of The Ten foot Chain or Can love survive the Shackles".
