Hi Lynne!

I'd love to take over as DPL, if I may! :D

Section 06 - The King Of The Golden River: there are a few things that need fixing. First of all the sampling rate should be 44.1 kHz and the bit rate 128kbps. Also your recording is stereo and we require mono.

There is quite some background noise at the beginning of your recording.
Also there are some plosives (that's when the air this the mic directly... when saying "p" for example). For future recordings it would be good if you could move your mic a bit to the side of your mouth and speak past it rather than directly into it.

1:20 part of the text is missing
"The little king looked very kind," thought he. "I don't think he will turn me into a black stone." So he went to the priest, and the priest gave him some holy water as soon as he asked for it. Then Gluck took some bread in his basket, and the bottle of water, and set off very early for the mountains.
If the glacier had occasioned a great deal of fatigue to his brothers, it was twenty times worse for him,

5:15 - 5:35 whistling and voices in the background

6:00- to end of recording: loud voices and bumps on and off in the background

9:16 sudden increase of volume

10:47-10:52 longish pause

11:17- 11:23 longish pause

The silence at the end should be 5 secs.

I have been checking back occasionally to see what I need to do with section 39. I was told that I needed a few more seconds of dead air at the end of the section but when I checked it was the 10 seconds it needed to be for a file over 30 minutes in length. Aravis please let me know what I need to do, I will gladly correct what ever you say needs to be done.

Thank You,
Mike

Section 39: I just had a look at the end silence in Audactiy and it shows me 10 secs too. Guess we can mark the section PL:OK!
