Here is my selection. I had to do it all in one day, because I haven't figured out how to save a file and then reopen it to add another recording file. If I save it in Audacity, I can never seem to find it again.

Thanks for letting me be a part!

Thanks, Maggie! Here's our wiki page about audacity: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Audacity_1-2-3; it should help you or lead to another page that can.

Hello! I'm quite new here, but I promise I won't screw anything up. May I try Section 03, please?

Hello and thanks for your interest in this project! I'll go ahead and reserve the section for you, but you should first do a 1 Minute Test (here's everything you need to know about that: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test). This is just to make sure that you've got the right technical specifications. (It would be a real pain to have to rerecord your section). Please post back here when you've been OKed.

Also, can you let me know how you'd like your name to appear in the catalog? (Most people use the same name that they give in the "recording by" part of the intro) Thanks!

Ok, I uploaded my test here: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/tests/test_jolieodell.mp3

I checked around the forums - is there anywhere else I need to post that test to get a go-ahead?

As for the catalog, just Jolie O'Dell is fine, and thank you!

Now that you've recorded your one minute test, you should post the link in the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum. Then some admins will use their super fancy tech skills to make sure everything's running ok, and then you are an official LibriVoxer!

Thanks, done and will wait for any feedback! Also, I mistakenly already uploaded section 03 - I hope it's not too much of a bother! And I'd like to claim section 12, as well; may I read that when all the t's are crossed with my one-minute test, please?

Don't worry about the early upload. You may need to adjust it after getting the feedback on your 1 minute test - see if anything they say applies to your recording of section 3. If you need to make changes, you can just upload the new file and it will replace the old one. Then post the link in this forum and I'll add it to the Magic Window.

Section 12 is now reserved for you as well. Thanks!
