Hi, Dan--Noticed just one thing on this one.

Section 27:
--At ~2:42 the text shows "As yet they knew not to enkindle fire..."--but I hear "And yet they knew not to enkindle fire..."
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Here is Section 28 -- Book V, Part 7: Beginnings of Civilization

https://librivox.org/uploads/ruthieg/onthenatureofthings_28_lucretius.mp3

Size: 35.8 MB
Duration: 39:10

On the fifth line of this section I ran into a fragment of text ("Were known") for which I could NOT find a natural-sounding way of fitting it in with what came directly before it or after it; so this is one of the rare cases where I simply left out the fragment.

Thanks!

Dan

Excellent job, Dan--just one note.

Section 28:
--At ~1:42 the text shows "...Long since had been unutterably cut off"--but I hear "...Long since had been utterly cut off"

I really enjoy the inflections of your voice, the expressiveness! :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Here's Section 29 -- Book VI, Part 1: Proem:

https://librivox.org/uploads/ruthieg/onthenatureofthings_29_lucretius.mp3

Duration: 9:11
Size: 8.41 MB

In this section, there is an awkward set of contiguous fragments to which I tried to give a natural flow, and the way I decided to read it required me to leave out one word: "Of" -- from the line "...Of winds arise; and they appeased are".

Thanks! :)

Sorry about the delay in producing the remainder of the work (just three sections left!). I was away for a couple of weeks, but I'm back now and should be able to produce the next (rather lengthy) section this week.

Thanks,

Dan
