The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud (6 May 1856 - 23 September 1939) . Translated by A. A. Brill (October 12, 1874 - March 2, 1948).
a neat book on dream-analysis by the founding father of psychoanalysis. this book is about the inner theatre and the workings of the mind in the dreaming state. covering lot of topics the Austrian psychoanalyst's work on dreams is worth reading for any who would getup with a question mark face, trying to remember the dream they had just moments before they got up and try to understand what message their dream was conveying, if at all it was. (Summary by sidhu177)
This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-interpretation-of-dreams-by-sigmund-freud/
  1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here
To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you'd like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
  2. New to recording?
Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
  3. Is there a deadline?
We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen.
Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
  4. Where do I find the text?
Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.psywww.com/books/interp/toc.htm
  5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)!
If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Hello Siddhu:

A quick suggestion. I really appreciate that you've created GoogleDocs links to every Section.
The only issue is that, I am assuming that we're not supposed to read footnotes, the parts marked with "*". It is not clear the way the text is copied and pasted when the footnote ends and the regular text begins. Would it be possible to either take the footnotes part completely out of the text or put a line underneath the footnoted text.

I guess we could do this too, by referring to the online version of the book. Let me know.

Thanks very much.

Chiquito

Gosh!, i totally forgot about that. ok, NO need to read the statements inside of " * " , well, i'll make the changes required in the Google Docs so that the text in Google Docs will be text that is necessary to be read, i don't want my readers to be juggling between the Google Docs and the Original text source.

thanks chiquito

I would like to claim Chapters 1-3 of this project. There are no names currently assigned to them.
Please credit my under the pseudonym PaulMuadib. This will be my first recording and I have read the FAQ section and watched the videos related to setting up Audacity for recording.

Thanks

hello Joe Haynes
welcome to librivox, i appreciate your interest in contributing to Sigmund Freud's work, but you have to first complete the "one minute recording" and get the ok-pass before you really start to do any contributions, you'll have the one minute test recording in the listeners wanted thread, go through this link and you'll know how/what to do http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording and also this is the link for the one minute test recording, http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test ,in trying to complete these things you'll know the hardware and the software requirements necessary, and have a fairly good idea about how things work in librivox.
