I am using Audacity, and I just figured out how to change it to mono. xD I also raised the volume 10 dBs, so I hope that's good. (I was wondering where exactly I could check decibels on Audacity though because I can't seem to find the spot...

You can't see decibels using Audacity <sigh>. How To tell Your Volume Level in Audacity is how I do it using my eyes. MP3Gain or the Checker are both good at finding it exactly (see my videos about them).

Hi Rich and welcome to LibriVox. I have put you down for chapter 7. But please wait until you have the OK from your 1 minute test.

You seem to be technically knowledgeable Rich, but there are some videos on how to make and upload the test at this site http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Instructional_Videos if you are a visual kinda guy.
