When Lighthouses are Dark : a Story of a Lake Superior Island by Ethel C. Brill (1877 - 1962) .
Volunteers outside the USA: Ethel C. Brill died in 1962. The author's work is still protected by copyright in places, like Europe, where copyright is author's death plus 70 years, and Australia (author's death plus 70 years for authors who died after 1955).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/when-lighthouses-are-dark-by-ethel-c-brill/
The story of four children stranded on a Lake Superior island. They take refuge in a deserted lighthouse hoping to survive the winter. (Summary by Betsie Bush)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015071197118
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): SPECIAL: Check intros and outros, add run times to MW. Just enjoy the rest as the text body has been PL'd already.

Please don't download files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

(I am setting this up in the database but would like another MC to complete the uploading/archive portions of cataloging when the recording is complete.)
