Let me know if you need me to change the ID3 tags to short poetry collection 20 or 21; looks like there a plenty of submissions.

[nb: ID3 tags changed to collection 020]

Thanks,
Bryan
Great job with your first recording, Bryan! We've still got some space in this collection so I changed the tag back to 019.

The volume was quite low on your recording, so that is something to check for next time.

How would you like your name to appear in the catalog?

Thanks for the listen and great collection. "Bryan Farrow" will do for the reader credit.

Is there a specific output level I should be looking for on Audacity?

Well, we aim for 89 db but I'm not sure that you can set that in Audacity. What you can do is go into your Control Panel, then go to Audio Devices, then to Adjust System Volume. Look for your microphone under Audio or Voice and then click on Volume. I have mine turned up almost all the way, you'll want to play with yours to get the setting right for you and your natural volume.

I hope that helps, let me know if that isn't clear. Thanks for the catalog info!

Annie: I've updated the two sources as requested.
Please let me know if these are okay now.

LibraryLady wrote: Hi Allision, wonderful recording! The poem is indeed in the public domain, I found it on Poets' Corner which is a great source for PD poetry: http://www.theotherpages.org/poems/colerm01.html#5

You need to check your recording settings and adjust them to 128 kbps and 44 kHz, right now they are set at 64 and 22. I can fix them with no problem so don't worry about reuploading but it's something to fix for next time.

Another thing to check on is your recording input volume - it was a little bit quiet. Again, don't worry about it this time, I'll boost it up but something to check for next time. :)

Also, how would you like your name listed on the catalog page? Do you have a URL you'd like your name to link to?
Thanks for the kind words. :) I shall tinker with the settings in Audacity and hopefully get them fixed. Could you list my name as Alison Raouf please.

I'll be recording a poem of mine that I wrote a few years back and submit to the public domain, is this okay?

I'm afraid not, Curtis. It's one of our policies to only record published public domain works. See here for more: http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/BookSelection

Sorry! I do hope you'll read some other works for us.

For the record, this one was received via email from George Pilling with no user name as far as I can tell. I'd hoped he'd post here by now since this collection is ready to go...
