This is my first recording (other than my test one), so I would welcome some criticism! This poem was indeed super depressing. It was quite good nonetheless. It did remind me that (thankfully) winter is coming.

Also, I did not know whether the file uploader could handle numbers (since it can't handle spaces?) so I used my name in the recording and file name instead of my profile name. Is that acceptable?

Welcome to LibriVox suetonius90 :)
Yes, you've done the filename correctly. Good reading, all your specs are correct.

*Please let me know under what name would you like to appear in the LV catalog and if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.

Can I appear under my real name? It's 'Frank LaRue'. And I don't have a personal url, but perhaps someday! Thanks!

Hi, David--

My goodness, such desolation and despair...an interesting poem.

I'll bet Longfellow just wished he had written this one his own self:

Incidentally, thanks for this:

Okay, excuse my enthusiasm, but [The] OED coughs up separate entries for verb, noun, adjective and adverb! This, from the verb-entry, snagged my mind's eye, in particular:

[2.]c. to dree (one's) weird: to endure one's fate, suffer or submit to one's destiny. arch.
