Lily wrote:Hi,

I'm a little confused (being new and all) about which stories you are looking for. I see in section 5 that as of today you have the countries Brazil, India, and Wales available.
When I click on the link to the Guttenberg files under Brazil, for example, and then choose HTML, I see many short stories.

In your post you say that we may only read two stories. Am I correct in understanding that this means that I should choose any two of those short stories in the book of stories from Brazil (for example)?

Is the project then a small selection of two stories from each of these books as opposed to the entire collection of stories from each country?

Thanks,
Lily
Lily, unless you're willing to read one of the stories from the book of Indian fairytales, you'll either have to wait for the next Cocoa Break collection or simply contribute a story from the Brazillian collection to the children's short works collection that I believe Annise is coordinating. I think that the latter would be the wiser choice and would give you a chance to record more than one story since this collection is almost done.

Ken :)
BTW I just listened to Chaper9 and it is okay.
MW updated. Need to be patient and wait for yarnbeagle or whoever else is PL'ing this book. Sometimes it takes weeks or even months to finish a project. We all have lives to lead outside of this forum.

Hello there!
May I claim #15, a story from India, "The Bel-Princess"?

I am truly sorry if I offended you. That was not my intent.
I am currently on another project and apparently got anxious. sorry.

No offense taken, not a biggie. The focus on collections like these should be on the kids and their folks, not us. 8-)

Hi there.
I got a small problem. Chapter 15 - The Bel Princess took much longer to read than I thought. My recording lasted about 30 mins!
I wonder if this is alright, or should I change to a much shorter story (also from India)?
Thanks!

Hi There:

Just had a quick question on the intros for this collection. Are we to substitute the word "Various" with the actual title and author from the selected work? Or do we just say the word "Various" to indicate a generic reference?

Seems like if someone were listening, they may want to know where the individual story came from.

I'll be happy to do it either way, but please advise.

Thanks,
Mike Nelson

This is okay. It's under 45 minutes and maybe a child's parent could use it as a "If you're very good" ploy by stopping it at the fifteen minute mark for the next day's break. ;)
