Hi, raptorsqueaks--

Welcome to LibriVox! :) Thank you for claiming Sections 02, 03, and 04.

Before you begin recording these chapters, I would strongly recommend that you complete your 1-minute test. Please be assured that this test is not an audition of any kind. It just allows an Admin to make sure that all of your technical specs are correct and that there are not other problems (like microphone problems, volume issues, etc.)--good information to know before you spend a lot of time recording entire chapters. You can find out about how to record and upload the test here.

Also, I need to know what name you would like to use for attribution in our catalog--? It can be your LibriVox User Name or your real name or whatever you wish. Just let me know. We can also link to a personal blog or to a personal website if you have one.
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Hi, Julia--

Since we still do not have a DPL yet (and so that you do not have to wait any longer), I listened to your file--very nice!

Section 05: PL OK

Just for your information when recording future sections, the file was a bit loud at 92.1 dB--still within acceptable range, but can't go any louder.

Thanks so much! :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia

I would be the DPL for this project if you would like.

Sharing knowledge about people who walk different walks of life is a baby step towards understanding them and librivox is a great platform for just that!

Hi, tekksavvy318--

Thank you for joining in this project and for the completed section! I see that you did read Chapter 10, which is Section 11 in this project (Section #'s and Chapter #'s can be different if, for instance, there is a Preface or an Introduction that is included in the recorded book). So your file name should actually be withfireandsword_11_byers.mp3. There is no need for you to upload the file again--our MC can correct the file name "behind the scenes"--but you might notice the naming convention for future sections that you undertake.

Also, I would really recommend that you post in the thread that you would like to claim a section before you record it (and then the Book Coordinator can show that the section has been assigned to you in the Magic Window). That is the customary procedure around here--it is helpful in avoiding mixups on claimed sections and in reducing the possibility of duplicate recordings.

Have a good evening-- :)

Note to Carolin: Can you please correct tekksavvy318's file name to reflect that he recorded Section 11, not Section 10? Thanks!
Kind regards,
Lucretia
