Shouldn't the PDF and Read Online be the same? I believe that's what we should be using so, as long as the text is the same as the recording, that's fine.

Yes, Nicholas, I think that you are correct. I believe that the Read Online and the .pdf are the same, and I recorded the track from the .pdf download. Thanks for your reply.

Here is the bit from the pdf on p 66-67 and I underlined where the text differs
"...own belief and is holding to forms and imitations. Jesus Christ
declares that the sun rises upon the evil and the good, and the
rain descends upon the just and the unjust—upon all humanity
alike. Christ was a divine mercy which shone upon all mankind,
the medium for the descent of the bounty of God, and the bounty
of God is transcendent, unrestricted, universal.
...
Therefore, all of you must strive with heart and soul in order
that enmity may disappear entirely and that strife and hatred pass
away absolutely from the midst of the human world. You must
listen to the admonition of this Spirit of Truth. You must follow
the example and footprints of Jesus Christ. Read the Gospels.
Jesus Christ was mercy itself, was love itself. He even prayed in
behalf of His executioners—for those who crucified Him—saying,
“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” If
they knew what they were doing, they would not have done it.
Consider how kind Jesus Christ was, that even upon the cross
He prayed for His oppressors. We must follow His example. We
must emulate the Prophets of God. We must follow Jesus Christ.
We must free ourselves from all these imitations which are the
source of darkness in the world.
I shall ask you a question: Did God create us for love or for
enmity? Did He create us for peace or discord? Surely He has
created us for love; therefore, we should live in accordance with
His will. Do not listen to anything that is prejudiced, for self-interest
prompts men to be prejudiced. They are thoughtful only

of their own will and purposes. They live and move in darkness.
Consider how many different nations and divergent religious beliefs
existed when Christ appeared. Enmity and strife prevailed
among them—Romans, Greeks, Assyrians, Egyptians—all warring
and hostile toward each other. Christ, through the breaths
of the Holy Spirit, united them, established fellowship among
them so that no trace of strife remained. Under His standard they
became united and lived in peace through His teachings. Which
is preferable and more commendable? To follow the example of
Jesus Christ or to manifest the satanic instinct? Let us strive with
all our powers to unite the East and West so that the nations of
the world may be advanced and that all may live according to
the one foundation of the religions of God. The essentials of the
divine religion are one reality, indivisible and not multiple. It is
one. And when through investigation we find it to be single, we
have a basis for the oneness of the world of humanity. I will pray
for you, asking confirmation and assistance in your behalf."

I've never run into this before. I have seen page numbers be off between versions but never text changes.
Nicholas, I'm going to go ahead and PL OK this then.

Not to belabor the question, Linda--but I'm curious about the differences. So are you looking at the Project Gutenberg .pdf version instead of the archive.org version? The Gutenberg edition appears to be a copyrighted version published in 2006. Anyway--bottom line, I used the archive.org text to record the track (believed it to be the approved source text).

Note to all:

I'm trying to make sure all my projects are up-to-date so, as yesterday was Naw-Rúz, the Bahá'í New Year, i feel it is appropriate to start orphaning sections which are still pending. I will also update the project deadline.

As of the 1st of April, any sections which were claimed 2 months ago or longer will be orphaned unless re-claimed. Sections which have been submitted but not edited within 3 months may also be orphaned. This will ensure that there are no obstacles in the way of completing this and other projects.

Section 02 is OK and the spot in 03 is fixed, but I missed on the first listen that at the beginning that I hear "Section 05" not "Section 03".

p 26 @ 1:54 didn't hear "I said to them" before "I am surprised..."
p 28 @ 10:49 heard extra 'will' between 'nation' and 'with
p 29 @ 14:38 didn't hear 'greater' in "...capabilities greater and more wonderful..."

Nicholas, a couple of spots I'm wondering are typos from the scanning, please take a look here
In section 33- needs rest of title from the MW;
@ 3:23 p 138 heard 'effluence' not 'effulgence';
@ 3:40 p 138 heard and read 'Sim' but believe typo should be 'Sun" Nicholas?;
@ 4:23 p 138 heard and read "iliddfin' typo again Nicholas?;
@ 5:34 p 139 heard 'effluence' not 'effulgence'

Hi, just checked on this. I was a bit confused with the page numbers because the copy I have downloaded has p. 142 where you have 138. It should definitely be (p. 142) "Consider how a pure, well-polished mirror fully reflects the effulgence of the sun, no matter how distant the sun may be."

The next one should be (p. 143): "...the nearer it draws to God and the light of the Sun of Reality is revealed within it."

The next part should be (p. 143): "His Holiness Baha'Ullah proclaims in his Hidden Words
that God inspires his servants and is revealed through them."

The final one should be (p. 143): "The darkened soul has no portion of the revelation of the glorious
effulgence of reality, and the soil of self, unable to take advantage of that light, does not produce growth."

I think the reader must have been following a text version based on the pdf instead of the pdf itself because if I paste from the pdf, it says "sim" but the pdf itself says "Sun".

I'd just like to reiterate that all readers should read from the pdf, not from a transliteration of the pdf, as this can lead to errors. This reading is very nice though. It just has a few, small errors.
