Thanks! I'm so ready to get the rest of them done - she has some great lines! I think God is helping me learn patience (or moderation) with these allergies! Lol! BTW, I am glad my scratchy voice is noticeable on the recordings. Since the rest of the recordings were short (and I was up) I went ahead and recorded the rest, which may be a mark against me if the lesson is moderation (heehee). But if the recordings are a little too (Louis Armstrong-ish)

, it will not hurt feelings to re-record. All of these are short and easy to re-do.

Can I do 18 Mrs Smith? This will be my first recording. Please advise if I need to do anything else. My name is Kate Carstens. I'm Australian if that makes a difference. As it is only one line, I don't mind doing it and then if you don't use it, that's fine also. I can try doing an accent if needed?

Hi Kate,

Of course you can do Mrs. Smith. I am happy that you are choosing this as your first recording! Welcome, and no, it doesn't matter that you are Australian, that is great, and you don't need to worry about an accent. If you want to try to Americanize it for Mrs. Smith you can, but it isn't necessary. The Adams family ( lol) was 1st or 2nd generation English anyway no doubt, and that is to Australian, right? Well, anyway, it wouldn't matter. You can just speak it in your own wonderful accent. I hope this is the first of many.

I will update the MW. I am understanding that you want Kate Carstens to be your catalog name. If that is not correct, please let me know. Thank you again.

Kate, sorry, this is a bit backwards, but I just wanted to make sure that you have done your one minute test. If not, please do that real quick before recording Mrs. Smith. Somebody will just check your audio setup to make sure everything is good technically for your recordings. It really helps to get that feedback, and the admins have good tips for you if there are any technical issues with your mic/recording set up. Possibly you have already done this. If so, please disregard this message. Thanks Kate. I look forward to hearing you, and by the way, since Mrs. Smith has such a small part, if you would like to claim Mrs. Wiley in a later chapter, you could do that too. She plays a little bit older lady (probably in her mid 30's). You can check it out and let me know.
