Ah, you listen at work too, eh? :)

Just adding this to the project for posterity, as it were:

Wild Flowers Worth Knowing by Neltje Blanchan

PG has updated this book that's been in their library for about seven years; I noticed that there's a new one, Talks About Flowers from the 1880's, with many illustrations.

I suppose I should put that in Suggestions. ;)

Ooo that first one is a good one to add to my kindle for when I'm backpacking!

I'm in this crazy backroom office that is entirely separated from everyone else I work with, however, I have an awesome window view and I can listen to Librivox without disturbance, so I really can't complain. :) I do almost all of my PL'ing at work, and when I run out of that, I listen to completed works. Its not a bad set up.

Just downloaded your files now.

Everything is PL OK.

Thanks for reading this! I enjoyed listening to it, her narrative is so wonderfully descriptive, and I think you did an excellent job with the accents!

hi BT -- i ran into a problem during cataloging: all your files are too quiet! the volume for each file (in decibel) is as follows:

00 - 86.23
01 - 85.75
02 - 82.56
03 - 83.42
04 - 83.14
05 - 82.64
06 - 82.84
07 - 82.33
08 - 82.63
09 - 86.06
10 - 86.27
11 - 86.90
12 - 86.81

we aim for a consistent volume of 89 decibel, and i usually try to get all files to at least 87 db before cataloging. please amplify the files each a little and re-upload, but please make sure your waves dont clip. if you need help with any of this, please let me know! :)

Alright, Carolin, I'll try and do this tomorrow and re-up the files. Can you give me an idea which files have the peaks beforehand? Another PL person suggested de-amping certain peaks before upping the decibels.
