THIS PROJECT IS NOW COMPLETE. ALL FILES CAN BE FOUND ON THE CATALOG PAGE:

I really enjoyed doing James and Jude. I should be able to finish this by Christmas. Worst case I can finish during the Christmas holidays as all our company is coming for Thanksgiving. Should be quiet here in December. Susan

Detailed Proof Listening- Proof-listening against the text
-- While listening, follow the online text and note any differences that changes the meaning. (with the time).
-- Do the intro and disclaimer match the instructions in the first post of the project thread?
-- Are there any long silences or pauses that ought to be edited out? If so, note the time.
-- Are there any stumbles or repeats that ought to be edited out? If so, note the words and the time.
-- Is there excessive background noise, a constant hiss or buzz that detracts from the reading?
-- Did you need to turn your volume up unusually high to listen to the recording? (Or did you find the recording too loud?)
-- Are the correct closing words used at the end of the recording, as per the first post of the project thread?
-- Are there 5 seconds of silence (10 if the recording is more than 30 minutes long) at the end of the file?

I will MC again for you Susan. Just for our info, can you put the file names and ID3 tags in the first post? And I will create a new project in the new catalogue system and put the readers list in as well. :)

Oh and if you figured out FTP, you can upload here:
ftp.studioae.com = ftp address
LibriVox = ftp user name
L1br1V0x = ftp password (no vowels - they are all numbers)
Folder name = luke
Will pm you details on editing the readers list.

I have no clue what I'm doing. Does it look all right? ID tags, etc? Putting just one chapter to a file would be too choppy, I think.

Yep Looks good. I added more ## to chapter names as you will be doing 2 per file

Esther, I've downloaded the chapters 3 times now, there is something wrong with them. If you can listen to the first 40 sec you can hear what I mean.

OHHH NO. What happened?? Susan, can you check your original? I think there must have been some corruption in the upload.

No problem. I can try again. And I still have the Audacity files so I'll listen to the mp3 file and import it again if necessary. Thanks, Susan

Does this mean I'm having trouble with my recording levels? If so, I'll try to fix that somehow. Or is that fixed in the cataloguing? Susan
