Thank you! I've updated the Magic Window.

Betty, now that all the Jane recordings are done being PL'd, shall I step back and let you resume the occupation at which you are so brilliant for the rest of the project? :D

I will get those two final chapters fixed tomorrow!

Hi,

I can PL the new files that come in now, sure, but feel free if you feel inclined to spot PL any corrected files that you had PL'ed originally.

I can start PL'ing files tomorrow(Monday) evening.

Not to worry!

Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 now PL OK.

Still a few more things to fix for the others:

Chapter 3
*At 0:30- For "it's such a strange thing she should have that fit" I hear "it's such a thing she should have that fit"- that is, "strange" was omitted.

*At 1:07- For “Up where the moors spread and grey rocks are piled” I hear “Up where the moors spread and the grey rocks are piled”

Chapter 10
It appears that the beginning of Chapter 10 is cut off, so these lines are missing:

Bessie: "It's her, I am sure!--I could have told her anywhere!"

Bessie: "Well, who is it?"

Bessie: "you've not quite forgotten me, I think, Miss Jane?"

Then it picks up with the "Jane" in ",Miss Jane" and goes on from there. The time is different because of the missing beginning, but one of the same notes still apply here:

*(now) At 0:56- For “Oh, he is not doing so well as his mama could wish” I hear “Oh, he is not doing as well as his mama could wish"

[and one new one]

*At 2:56- For "For “he was going on a voyage to a foreign country” I hear “for he was going on a voyage to a foreign country

Chapter 21
*At 0:11- For "The doctor says she may linger a week or two yet" I hear "The doctors say she may linger a week or two yet"

Thank you.

Fabulous- yes, it makes sense for me to spot check the re-records that come in when I had PL'd the original file. You're the best, Betty!

I just uploaded the chapter 20

I'm getting the 1-minute test done, But I believe the sound here is really clean

If anything is in need to be changed just let me know!

You can use chapter 20 as your one-minute test.
The hole point of a one-minute test is to make sure that your tecnical settings are all correct. It should be about a minute long, in order that:
- It won't catch a lot of space on the librivox uploader,
- Fixing it would be easy.
There is a text for the one-minute test, but it has a few replacements:
weekly or fortnightly poems,
short chapter from a book,
or a small role in a dramatic work.
So you did your one-minute test. It will be checked by the dpl, and you'll get feedback and fix it if needed. In many cases, the bc or dpl decides to coppy the "one-minute test" to the listeners and eddetors wanted forum. That's what I do if I see that it's not checked after a few days (didn't happen to me for a long time.)
Elizabeth, I am wrighting this here because I saw this repeated several times (in several differint threads.) So I wanted to give the correct information here so that no more readers would be confused.

Hi

Jane files chapters 37 and 38 are now all set! :)

I'll be PL'ing all the Adele files today. Please remember I don't know French, I've forgotten practically all of my two years of French in high school which was eons ago!

I've PL'ed some of the Adele files

Chap 11

At 2:44 I heard “I was not there long”
Text is “I was not long there.”

I notice that you say Monsieur for the english “Mr.” in this file. I think this is in keeping with Adele’s character, but I just want to let Elizabeth know in case she prefers you to say mister

Chapters 12 through 15 are all very PL OK. Your French is superb! :9:

More PL'ing after lunch!

Betty
