Mr Rochester Chapter 14 file is now all set.

I've also PL'ed some St John Rivers files:

Chapters 29, 36 and 38 are all good to go!

St John chap 30 file has a little difference:
At 4:28 missing “that” in “I shall not stay long in Morton, now that my father is dead……

I've PL'ed Mr Rochester files chap 15 and 17 Notes are:

Chapter 15

At 2:54 missing the first “her” in “by-the-by, on so warm a June evening- I knew her instantly by her little foot…”

At 11:38 I heard “Miss” for “”Mrs.” In “Mrs Fairfax found you to train it.”

At 12:37 I heard “I’m” for “I am” in “There, I am up now, but at your peril, you fetch a candle yet…”

At 14:13 I heard “upon” instead of “on” in “Well, I shall reflect on the subject…”

Chapter 17

At 2:59 I heard “Well to-night I must excuse you.”
Test says “Well to-night I excuse you…”

The recording now has a running time of 9:01 and the re-recorded lines are from roughly 4:26 to 4:38.

I have upgraded my microphone since the original recording was made and unfortunately (at least for this section) I do think the sound quality shift is quite noticeable. If you would like me to do a total re-record of the chapter or of the whole of St. John's speech I can do so if it will help the scene sound more consistent but I didn't want to force a whole fresh PL if that was unnecessary!

Just wanted to give an update on Mr. Mason. I'm just about done with him.

I just have a couple of questions.

1. In Chapter 20 you say to have him give a scream at the beginning. What's the best way to do that so it doesn't sound too distorted? When I try it from my current position, sitting by the mic, the volume is off the scale. Should I step away from the mic and be in the same room? Try it from another room (after all Jane is hearing it coming from an upper floor right)? Recommendations?

2. When Mr. Mason finishes speaking in Chapter 26 he breaks down into a sob. Do you want any sobbing?

1) Why don't you try it both ways you mentioned? That is, stepping away from the mic and then doing it in another room.
