hi victor, welcome to librivox! you are welcome to read section four. however, to sign you up, ill need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to appear in the catalog once the book is all finished and made available to the public. we can also link to your personal website or blog.

before you get started, please make sure youve set up your software correctly and submit the one minute test. this is of course not an audition, but only a sound check. we need our recordings to conform with a certain technical standard and the test is to check on that. also, if you run into trouble, someone can help you easily with it if the sample recording is short :)

Hi,
Here is Section 12 - Some Muslim Laws and Beliefs
N.B. I have added the word "I" at about 07:46 as it seemed to be missing something - easily removed if you think it unnecessary.

PL NOTES section 12

- File hasn't been noise cleaned
- 02:45 background noise
- 07:53 background noise
Hi,
I found the click (incomplete edit) and removed it at 07:54

I can not hear any noise at or around 02:45 - either on my copy here or on the link.

I have not noise-cleaned the file as I honestly did not think that it was needed.
I will do so however if you wish.

hi noel, did you upload the edited file yet? a general noise cleaning is usually not a bad idea. if the background noise is very faint, we dont make you go back and edit it, but most of us run our files through the noisefilter routinely, whether it is audible or not. only be careful to not get any weird sounds in your voice as a result of the noise cleaning :)
since april heard the background noise, it may be better to noise clean. i can give you a second opinion on it if you think that is needed :)

hi sam, welcome to librivox.

to sign you up, ill need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to appear in the catalog once the book is all complete. we can also link to your personal website or blog.

it is strongly recommended to complete the one minute test before getting started on a project, please do read the instructions carefully and do that test. it is basically a sound check to see if your software is set up correctly and help you through those typical problems that many of us have the first time around.
