I have started on the next chapter, but I've been stalled over the last two weeks while I have had to deal with more pressing matters.

Excellent recording, progressingamerica! I'm glad that you did not spend time re-recording any portion of it. I think that would have been totally unnecessary. :)

Section 17: PL OK

The next chapter is partially done. Just been so busy. I think I can have it done in a few days.

Hi, progressingamerica--Sounds good!

Section 18: PL OK

I would mention that the track comes in at 92.1 dB, so that's on the top edge of our acceptable range. Try not to get any louder. :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Hi, progressingamerica--Just a few notes on this one.

Section 19:
--At ~8:24 (text 171, pdf 184) There is a repeat "Quote--Quote: I do hearby certify..."
--At ~10:12 (text 172, pdf 185) The text shows "no matter in what language his doom may have been pronounced..."--but I hear instead "no matter in what language his dome may have been pronounced..."
--At ~18:14 (text 177, pdf 190) The portion in red is omitted fromt he recording "...he was marked by the enemies of freedom, and every device, which the scheme of colonization could invent..."
--At ~20:31 there is a pretty noticeable bump between sentences which could easily be snipped out. (I only mention it since you will be uploading again anyway.)
--At ~35:43 (text 188, pdf 201) There is a repeat "...seeing the condition of his comrades, and comprehending--his comrades, and comprehending the disastrous results about to befall them..."
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Lucretia,

On the subject of "dooms", I did purposefully pronounce it as "dome".

This section of the book is quoting from John Philpot Curran, who would've very likely pronounced it that way. See the Doom Book. Pronounced "dome". It also fits with the context of the words themselves if you exchange the word "law" for "doom" as opposed to exchanging a much more ominous one. :-)

Let me know your thoughts.

As to the rest, I'll fix them tonight and re-upload soon. The next section is also complete.

The full text of Curran's speech is here:

Very interesting information as to "doom"--thank you. Let's go with your pronunciation then. I'll be watching for your next section... :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia
