Although I found this story in horrormasters, it is much more of a ghost story.

After reading your project intro again, well, I doubt you want this one.

So Sorry; maybe next time.

There is a short ghost story collection running, too!

Thanks,

Hey Peter,

In an effort to push this project to completion, here's my recording of The Picture In The House by H.P. Lovecraft.

Peter -
As promised--though late!--here is my recording of Hans Anderson's tale The Mother and the Dead Child:
http://scottbush.net/v2/librivox/the-mother-and-the-dead-child.mp3

For convenience, here is the link to the text again:
http://www.horrormasters.com/Text/a2024.pdf

I must note that the title as shown in the text above--and indeed the author's full name--are different than other sources online. But as Horrormasters.com was the source, I read it as it was shown there. Please let me know if there is anything you're aware of regarding the validity of the story as posted on Horrormasters.

Thanks!

I'd like to volunteer to read a Chinese horror story, "The soul of the great bell", the text of which can be found at:

Should I go ahead?

Thanks

Sure, go ahead; this collection needs one more to complete it ... then we start on the next!

Is it possible to do an excerpt of something as a reading? I know of a great horror tale based on Bluebeard written by Dickens, but is a part of The Uncommercial Traveller - Chapter 15, Nurses' Tales. Is this acceptable?

tahbepet,

A horror story as an extract would be fine; you'll have to work out a suitable name for it in your intro.

****

Paul,

Thanks; I look forward to it.

Dickens excerpt done!

I've called it: Captain Murderer - An excerpt from 'The Uncommercial Traveller', Chapter 15 - Nurse's Tales

It's about 6 1/2 minutes long.

Hope it's what you're looking for!

This collection is now complete, with Paul's story, I hope, starting off the next collection. I'll set up the new one and start moving these stories to the uploader ready for Listening tomorrow evening.

Just a bump, as I seem to have a hard time keeping track of this thread.

Another day or two to sort out loose ends .. readers names and URLs, ID3 tags and so on, and I'll upload these and put them to the Listeners thread.
