This project is now complete, the catalogue page can be found here: http://librivox.org/my-man-jeeves-by-p-g-wodehouse/

Having read a lot of Wodehouse, I think I'd like to contribute to the Wodehouse collection. However, as the proof-listeners on the Main Street board can attest, I'm a terrible self-proofer.

Text here:

http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/8164

The book is not broken down in numbered chapters, but rather as 8 separate vignettes. In order to ensure that they sort in the proper order, I thought I'd tag them as My Man Jeeves # (vignette name), i.e.:

My Man Jeeves 1-Leave it to Jeeves
My Man Jeeves 2-Jeeves and the Unbidden Guest

Hi sjmarky, I'll be your MC for this project. If this is your first solo project you should have a look at this thread: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=717

And please add your intended file naming scheme and ID3 tags to your first post.

I love Wodehouse. Can't wait to hear this one. :D

Ah, I knew I forgot something... Could you also put a link to the text in the first post, thanks.

So I'm guessing you'll want an experienced proofer on this?

I'll give you an ear if you like.

Great! Looking forward to working with both of you. Hope I'm worthy.

We'll see if my self-proofing has gotten any better.

Hey there!

Leave it to Jeeves sounds great!!!

Only 2 errors!! Not bad for a self professed bad self editor.

at 12:50 a repetition of 'I've got a cousin who's what they call a Theosophist.'

at 34:56 omitted text "You're perfectly right!" he snorted."

Also I noticed that at the end you said: 'End of part 1, Leave it to Jeeves.' I would suggest that you take out the 'part 1' since this is a collection of short stories and that gives the impression that there is a second part to this story rather than it's the end of this episode and the next story is not a continuation of this one, just another in a series of tales, with a different name to it. See what I mean?

Any way good job! You have a great reading voice and I look forward to the next story!

You're too kind.

I've re-posted chapter 1 with your comments at the usual place. I was hoping to finish a chapter a week, but alas, I have caught a cold and will need to go on injured reserve for about 10 days. Unless you want to listen to "My Man Mucus".

EUW, no thanks! I'll wait if that's all the same to you

And, er, what's the usual place? the same place as before?

Will the link you posted yesterday have the new file or the old file?

Hope you are feeling better!
