Thanks Algy,
Yes, it was a pleasure as the reading is really great!
Bev, please bear with me as this is my first try at PL-ing.
Noel

1. There is a mix-up in the file names. DublinGothic, Mostafa and I have used one set of "Section" numbers and you and the others have used the other ones. I am not sure who should be making corrections (if any are needed) perhaps Algy can give us a ruling.

2. Your reading is word perfect but I wonder about the pronunciation of "travail's" @1:59 (Quatrain 106). Perhaps "trav-eyls" or "tra -vay-ils" might suit the meter in the quatrain better?

3. @ 25:12 & 25:29 (Quatrains 184 & 185) The plural of the lovely eyed "Houri" should be "Hoo-rees" I think.

Thanks Noel

There has been a little inconsistency in the use of section numbers in file names, but it doesn't really matter. As long as I can see clearly who has done what there should be no problem.

Cheers

Lovely Introduction, Algy. I'm very impressed with your pronunciation!

I've noted a few differences between the text and the recording and leave it to you to determine whether they need addressing:

1 - text reads "reprinted" and the recording reads "printed" at 11:46
2 - text reads "version" and the recording reads "translation" at 21:22
3 - text makes no reference to "living" while the recording does at 33:47

Cheers

Mostafa, if you haven't yet downloaded section 5 for listening, please hold off. I've just proofed my recording against the downloaded pdf of the text and find that there are several 'O's at the beginning of a number of quatrains that I did not record. The version I printed off often missed these 'O's and, while I thought I had fixed all of them, I now see that I had not. So I'd rather redo the section than edit. It happens that the ambient noise the evening I recorded it wasn't the best either.

I'll do it this week and re-post, if you don't mind.

Hi Cathy

Thanks for the update and the PL.

Your PLer will be DublicGothic. Mostafa will have more than enough to do with reading his five sections.

Cheers

Oops, sorry, Algy ... and most especially Mostafa, in case I freaked him out with yet another deliverable! I didn't closely read the PM. Philip, stand by until I post a new section 5.

So. I'm finally back. Sorry for this delay. I have another segment.

Unfortunately, due to copy and pasting, the filename contains "english" instead of "persian." I hope I'll be able to upload the other sections sooner than this, and with the correct filename!
