Hi Todd... I would like to claim these 2 readings please. :D Thanks! Laura (ataleteller@gmail.com)

5 & 6. “The Secret of the ‘Magnifique’” by E. Phillips Oppenheim (1866 - 1946), from Mr. Laxworthy’s Adventures (1913)
Laura, Sections 5 and 6 are now yours. Please read the first post of this thread with Magic Window instructions carefully, it contains all the info you need.

However, before you start recording your sections, however, please do the following:

- Please record a short 1-minute sample and post it over at 'Listeners Wanted'. This is not meant as an audition, but so that we check your technical settings, if it's too loud/quiet, if there's background noise... have a look for details here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

- Also, please let me know under what name you'd like to appear in our catalog. This can be your forumname, your real name... whatever you choose. We can also link to a webpage/blog if you like, or to your personal librivox page (like my message does) - to help you keep track of all your sections assigned and completed.

Thanks, Todd

Greetings,

I would like to claim:

10 & 11. “The Moabite Cypher” by R. Austin Freeman (1862 - 1943),
from John Thorndyke’s Cases http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13882
- [10] From beginning to “‘Quick Jervis,’ exclaimed Thorndyke; ‘she’s off!’”, 4490 words;
- [11] From “He leaped down on to the line, whither I followed instantly....” to end, 3978 words

Thanks,

Neils

I haven't done a recording for LibriVox since Tale of Tom Kitten, but I've been looking forward to it.

Neils,

Sections 10 and 11 are now yours. (I can't update the Magic WIndow until tonight.) Please read the first post of this thread with Magic Window instructions carefully, it contains all the info you need.

However, you sorta appear to be new here (rejoining??) so before you start recording your sections, please do the following:

- Please record a short 1-minute sample and post it over at 'Listeners Wanted'. This is not meant as an audition, but so that we check your technical settings, if it's too loud/quiet, if there's background noise... have a look for details here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Hi Todd,

May I have section 15 “The Second Customer and the Amber Beads” by Fergus Hume, please? It doesn't look as if it has yet been claimed.

thanks!

Dolly

PS, I'm not really following you from Inca Land - the story looked like fun. :)

I've added your name to the MW, dolly. :)

Just so you know, Gutenberg Australia also has an HTML version of the story that is completely identical, so you can read off that if you prefer HTML to plain text.

P.S. for Todd: While I was about it, I've also updated the MW with Niels' information.

Great. I shall try to listen tomorrow. NOTE: please say how long the file is (mm:ss) whenever you upload one so that we can be sure we got all of it - also need to know it for the cataloging.

Thanks, Todd
