Hi, here's Section 12, Chapter 12. 14:50.5

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/fentonsquest_12_braddon.mp3

I left the upload page before I copied the link, so had to upload again, in case anything looks odd.

Still having trouble with the headset, getting the microphone in the right place, had a lot of 'th' and 't' blips to delete. Is there a recommended position, or is it just what works?
Cheers, LYNN

Thanks, Lynne.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

Uploaded Section 05, Chapter 5:

Link: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/fentonsquest_05_braddon.mp3
Length: 24:09

I won't be able to do any recording the next few days, going to help a friend with some remodeling. Looks like we're almost done with just a few chapters left. I'll help finish the project when I return if there's anything left to do.

Thanks,
Kirk

My pleasure, this is/was a fun project.

If you know of, or discover, another project similar to this one would you let me know so I can help?

Thanks,
Kirk

PL NOTES FOR SECTION 12:

7:00 it is the man i want to find john. repeat

8:20 why waste any emotions or regrets repeat

apart from those two things it was another good recording.

i don't use a headset, didn't get on with them instead i use a web cam that i allready had which is great cuz it is so sensative that i can lie back on my bed to read :D

the general advise with mic placement on headsets is for the mic to be beside your mouth not infront so plosives are less likley. but i didn't notice any with your recording :D

Thanks for the advice, Elaine, I will see if I can get the mike to do that.

I'll correct the file and upload again. I edited out the plosives....tedious!

I use a pop filter and turn the mic to I'm not talking directly into it and my distance is my thumb and little finger spread out from lips to mic,.
