Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the files.

PL notes for chapter 12:
2:30 editing error
3:20 missing part of a line "Now, here's another matter. You've mentioned Mr.
Spencer Levendale [[and this book]] which was so strangely left at the pledge-office. I happen to know Mr. Levendale--pretty well."

#####

The following lines have been colored (red) for assignment to John Purvis. I would ask that the assignment please be double checked:

'I haven't been here a minute!' ... 'I came in--found him, like
that! There's nobody here. For God's sake, where's my diamond?'

The source text is:

... I went, I say, straight through--and in the parlour doorway ran into
Stephen Purvis.

"Purvis was excited--trembling, big fellow though he is, do you see? He
will bear me out as to what was said--and done. Without a word, he turned
and pointed to where Daniel Multenius was lying across the floor--dead. 'I
haven't been here a minute!' said Purvis. 'I came in--found him, like
that! There's nobody here. For God's sake, where's my diamond?'

...

It appears to me that the lines should be marked for "Stephen Purvis".

Nonetheless, I recorded the lines in case I'm wrong (at run-time 00:42 to 00:57).

####################

Neither of these recordings have been noise reduced or normalized. No ID3 tags are inluded.

The Audacity settings for export to flac were: #8 (best) and 24 bits. Experimentation didn't find a setting that resulted in 128kbps flac.

Please let me know if you need different export settings.

Hi Rick,
Files are fine and they are PL OK

Thank you for pointing out the error with the color coding. I appreciate it and will contact the other reader for the line.

Be well and again thank you! :D
