Hi Dan - that's great! Please do contribute your thoughts to the discussion thread before recording; would love to hear your thoughts on Lysander and the four lovers. The thread is here:DanRaynham wrote:Hi,
I will start recording Lysander at the end of the week.
Any thoughts on this character before I proceed? I feel he is a straight forward bloke........ although I could have some fun with him during his eye drop stupor.

I think for me the big question with the lovers (especially the guys, since they're the ones who get the love juice put on their eyes) is whether we can believe in "true love" given the mobile and transferrable nature of their affections for Hermia and Helena. This is probably more of a question for Demetrius rather than Lysander, but do please feel free to comment over at the other thread.

Here are Fairy's lines from Act 2.

SO much enjoyed this recording - I've always loved this scene. And I think I like how it turned out, overall, but if I need to improve upon it, please let me know! Even if it comes down to taking a different tack with the tone or pacing or flow, I'll be very happy to re-record to make any necessary changes.
Thank you!

Thanks so much, Jeff! That's wonderful to hear. I've always enjoyed seeing different interpretations of the interaction between the fairy and Puck in this scene. Entertaining to watch, just as much fun to read. I really appreciate the encouraging feedback!jschwab923 wrote:Tiffany, just wanted to say, I love your voice:) Quite perfect for the role.

Here's Peter Quince! Man, as someone who's done casting, directing, and producing, I just empathize with this poor guy so much. It's amazing how little has changed since Shakespeare's time.
Also, readers for the Mechanicals, be aware that in this version lines in the play-within-a-play are assigned by your character's character name (Pyramus, Thisby, etc.) so you'll have to vary your search terms to make sure you find all your lines. (Elizabeth, I assumed Peter Quince is the Prologue, as that's how I've seen it in other editions, so that's what I read.)

Thanks, Dan and Arielle! Files are in the MW.
Arielle, thanks for alerting me to the formatting quirk in the Interlude. Yes, reading the Prologue as Quince is exactly right - thank you!

I've always found Snug highly amusing when we performed this, would love to read his part.
That would be great, Katalina - thank you! Make sure to visit the discussion thread and weigh in on the mechanicals and other issues:katalinawatt wrote:I've always found Snug highly amusing when we performed this, would love to read his part.

If acceptable, I could take both Cobweb and Moth. (And I believe they are also Second Fairy and Third Fairy. Is this correct?)
