Hi Ruth,

Thank you for Section 2 and for updating the spelling of her name for the tags. I hate it when I don't catch things like that.

At the very end of Section 15 - Chapter 13 December is this paragraph with following diagram.

"When I asked for his bill, the old man brought it made out on a hazel stick, in a manner either traditional, or of his own devising. This is how it runs, in notches about half an inch long, and dots dug with the point of the knife. It means, "To so much work done, £4, 5s. 0d."

IIXXX·I·, IIXXXX·II∧ IIII∧XX,IIXX

Can I just end after saying - "four pounds, five shillings and zero pence"? Or do you want me to describe the diagram in some way?

It seems terribly clumsy to start spouting - eye, eye, ex, ex, ex, dot, eye, dot, comma ... etc. but I will if you think I need to.

Hi Darvinia,

I think we can classify it as an illustration and leave it out. I like the idea of the stick as a bill.

Thanks!

Section 20 PL notes:
the outro says "end of chapter EIGHT", instead of eighteen
(you can probably copy and paste the correct word from the intro rather than re-recording)

PS I totally agree with the author in this chapter: blue/violet/lilac/mauve are extremely misused in the flower world.

edited to clarify chapter vs section
