Hi Elizabeth!

Here is Kate.

My husband woke up to me screaming "James" in the kitchen, but he wasn't alarmed for long. He realized quickly that I was just recording again.

Thanks!

The Narrator and the brief role of Ben have been orphaned. Please post to this thread to claim if you are interested.

I will do Ben and the Narrator.

Is the Narrator doing all the stage directions (in an undertone) throughout? What about the character names as printed in before each line? - I have listened to one of our recordings that did (very effectively) though most do not.

Thanks, Todd

Thanks, Todd, that would be great. The Narrator should read all of the stage directions except the following:
  • The character names printed before each line
Any stage directions that refer to how an actor should read a particular line, such as "softly" or "in an undertone."
When in doubt, just record a line and it can always be cut later. Let me know if you have any questions as you go through the text.

Thanks again!

I've completed Andrew. I apologize for the delay on this -- you should have nudged me with a PM or something. I can't seem to make the uploader work at the moment. I'll try again later. For now, here's the run times:

Act I: 15:37
Act II: 17:02
Act III: 16:20

Hi David

I also had troubles with the uploader and discovered that they appeared to relate to the FireFox browser. I have since switched to Google Chrome and the problems seem to have disappeared. However, Google Chrome does insert an odd character in some blank fields when you are updating the Magic Windows.

Cheers

I'm using Safari rather than Firefox. I tried Chrome and didn't like it much.

Anyway, I tried again, and it seems to be the progress bar that's broken rather than uploading as such -- the activity light on my modem has been flashing, and sure enough, when I wait long enough it gives me a URL:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ek/beyondthehorizon_andrew_2.mp3
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ek/beyondthehorizon_andrew_3.mp3

Run times as shown above.

Terrific - thanks, David! Yeah, that's been happening to me too with the uploader - in fact, I think it's probably happening to everyone. :)

Here is Ben:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ek/beyondthehorizon_ben_2.mp3
length 2:24

I thought I uploaded this on Saturday but I bet I sent the reply message with link to the wrong project. (I uploaded parts of 4 other projects too and probably got confused.)

Now, on to narration!

Thanks, Todd
