First Librivox recording, so hopefully I didn't do anything too stupid.

I've been lurking for a while now, but I felt I had to jump in for this one, since I actually know it from memory -- Not that memorizing Fire and Ice is an amazing feat of memory :)

Whew! Here is my first contribution to LibriVox. I hope all the tags and everything are all all right. Thanks for selecting such a great poem.

Great job Nick! I think that memorizing any poem is a proud accomplishment. I'm so glad we finally found a poem to lure you out of lurkdom. :D

One tiny thing - your bit rate was 64kbps instead of 128. Should be a quick settings change in your recording software.

Well done with your first recording, Matt! Next time doublecheck the first post for the filename format.

How do you want your name listed in the catalog? Do you have a website you want your name to link to?

Very nicely done with your first recording Elizabeth! I'm so glad everyone likes the poem and it seems to be bringing in some newbies. Thanks again to MermaidMaddie for suggesting this poem in the first place!

I sent mine in using yousendit. This is my first time too. I figured it was time to stop listening and step up to the plate and get my voice heard. So be gentle with me.

I can't figure out how to adjust my microphone volume on Audacity.... any suggestions... or is it loud enough?

Thanks,

Grr. I thought I'd actually set this correctly, but clearly not. I shoved it into audacity (which in retrospect is what I should have used in the first place) and I think it is now actually 128kps.
