First Librivox recording, so hopefully I didn't do anything too stupid.

I've been lurking for a while now, but I felt I had to jump in for this one, since I actually know it from memory -- Not that memorizing Fire and Ice is an amazing feat of memory :)

Great job Nick! I think that memorizing any poem is a proud accomplishment. I'm so glad we finally found a poem to lure you out of lurkdom.kukkurovaca wrote:First Librivox recording, so hopefully I didn't do anything too stupid.

One tiny thing - your bit rate was 64kbps instead of 128. Should be a quick settings change in your recording software.

Very nicely done with your first recording Elizabeth! I'm so glad everyone likes the poem and it seems to be bringing in some newbies. Thanks again to MermaidMaddie for suggesting this poem in the first place!betty2dogs wrote:Whew! Here is my first contribution to LibriVox. I hope all the tags and everything are all all right. I sent mine in using yousendit. This is my first time too. I figured it was time to stop listening and step up to the plate and get my voice heard. So be gentle with me.

I can't figure out how to adjust my microphone volume on Audacity.... any suggestions... or is it loud enough?
Thanks,
Robert B.

Grr. I thought I'd actually set this correctly, but clearly not. I shoved it into audacity (which in retrospect is what I should have used in the first place) and I think it is now actually 128kps.LibraryLady wrote:Great job Nick!
