Ozymandias of Egypt
by Percy Bysshe Shelley

Each week a poem is chosen to be recorded by as many Librivox volunteers as possible!

This week's poem can be found at: http://www.bartleby.com/41/515.html
More information on this week?s poem can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozymandias
Thanks to Plum Hill for suggesting this poem.

Begin by reading the abbreviated LibriVox disclaimer:
Ozymandias of Egypt by Percy Bysshe Shelley, read for LibriVox.org by [your name]
Adding, if you wish, date, location, or your personal url.

Then the poem:

I MET a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand
Half sunk, a shatter?d visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamp?d on these lifeless things,
The hand that mock?d them and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal these words appear:
?My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!?
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

At the End say:

End of poem. (Optionally add: This recording is in the public domain)

Please leave a few seconds of silence at the end of your recording.

Save your recording as an mp3 file using the following filename and ID3 tag format:

You may either post a link to your completed files here in the thread or email them to me via http://www.yousendit.com/ at this address: kristin UNDERSCORE hughes2 AT yahoo DOT com. Martin- Nicely done. However, you were missing all your ID3 tags. I've added them, but please double check in future.

Annie, thanks, and I'm sure I'll have a few more questions before the week is out.
