Back with a new chapter... and sciatica!

So far I've applied the track times to chapters 7 - 11 + the new one. After I post this I'll get to the earlier mm:ss #'s.

I would have had more to add but editing chapter 13 took a nose dive with rattling background noise (on the recording) and the heater going on and off (in real life).

A brief aside... *shakes fist* GRR! Mr. Perkins is a dumb-bunny! He's driving me nuts! Of all the wretched characters in this novel I never thought reading his goofy putrescence would halt the flow so badly. His wispy wallowing is so hard to grasp and maintain, and I'm not the only witness; my e-reader hates him enough to mangle his poetry so I have to appeal to a more forgiving computer and write down what got eaten up, make a subsequent recording of that, and add it in later. As a Tom Robbins character once said, "What a rotten rhyme... I think I'll go back to prose."

Ah, that's better, :9: just needed to have a growl...

By the way, when I alter or fix any chapters, do I re-upload them under the same name?

Plus, going through what I've uploaded: I listen to it and it sounds way too fast. I'm positive I wasn't reading as fast as all that, I try to slow myself down a lot when I do the readings but when it's all finished it sounds sped-up.

Sorry - I seem to have missed this post
I'll have a listen later - I didn't notice that you read too fast but it is possible to slow the audacity file down using Effects - Change Tempo . That will slow it down a bit without altering your pitch

It might be an idea to PM your DPL to see if they are still around .

No problem! Not in a hurry.

With the recording speed: I meant it seems to change after it's uploaded. So when I play my copy it's fine but when I listen to the copy on librivox in the magic window it sounds sped up. I've just slowed down my reading with what I have.

I have chapters 13-19 read but not edited. 13 and 14 had all kinds of weird clicks so I'm working longer on them and may have to re-read them.

Just posting here that what with my scary health issues and the computer crashing last summer I got hyper-vigilant and uploaded a couple of chapters I knew for sure were done, even though they are ahead of schedule/order. (Yes, I have safety issues.)

Hi Morlock!

Thanks for your message and a (belated) happy New Year to you as well!

I should have my PL-Notes for chapters 7-11 up in the next couple of days

Phew! Scary! Right after I uploaded the final chapter I couldn't get through and I was like "Oh no! I crashed librivox!" but Google-Chrome was taking the blame, so I used explorer to get here again. [And then hours later with firefox to paste this message which didn't make it...]

And here IT IS-VOILA!

Now all I have to do is fix the others
