I was not sure into which category this story: "From the Ocean’s Depths , by Sewell Peaslee Wright" should go. It borders on Sciencefiction, but it isn't really. There are no wars, no stars to be reached, but an ocean. It is - to me- a touching story full of emotion, and a story where the ending is also a question.
The Text can be found in: ASTOUNDING STORIES, MARCH 1930 at http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/29607

and here is the file:

Thanks for the kind words, Michael E. Once upon a time I was in radio, and recently returned as a volunteer with an independent public radio station in Minnesota.

I do use Pro Tools to edit my recordings, though in this case I did not apply any compression or equalization. The hardest part, of course, is finding a controlled recording environment to work with.

Good work on your two stories, by the way!

Well, whatever else it may or may not be, it's a short story and we'll take it. Thanks, Lars. :)

Hi, Kimberly. Welcome to Librivox and thanks for the Maupassant.

Frankly, the introduction is nigh inaudible. I recommend re-recording it. Also, the level overall is very low and the recording is in stereo (must be mono). The recording itself is fine, but if you need any help with these technical corrections, please let me know.

Thanks. :)
