This project is complete. All associated files can be found on the catalog page: http://librivox.org/the-big-time-by-fritz-leiber/

The Big Time by Fritz Leiber (1910 - 1992).
A classic locked room mystery, in a not-so-classic setting. (Intro by Karen Savage)
  • Target completion date: 04/30/2011
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/32256
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): Standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project will be opened up to a group project as soon as a Book Coordinator can be found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to have it re-instated).

Thanks! I was glad I'd pre-read the first couple of chapters, so I knew what I was getting in for. After the first chapter, I started making character notes so I wouldn't forget who had which accent. :)

Chapter 3 is uploading. I so wanted to sing that last bit to the tune of Lili Marleen (all the context clues point to it), but unfortunately, it's not in the public domain. :(

I have a chapter recorded, but I've been short of time lately and haven't finished editing it. The project I was working on ended last Sunday, though, so I'll be able to pick this back up.
