If you're referring to the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum, I believe that kri has recorded this and is currently in the editing stage. However, my understanding is that multiple versions of the same text are always welcome. If it is the book I'm thinking about, it's a great story.

best, Judy
No, this one is by Amelia C. Houghton. Could you click on the link to let me know if this one is too long?

I checked out the link and it looks charming. I cannot speak for Tina, but I think she was looking for enough material to fit on an audio CD originally, but those plans may have changed or expanded. So to be sure, I'd check with Tina regarding length limitations. For what it's worth, I think it would also work well as a solo project. Good luck! Judy

Here is a collection of short Christmas stories:

Many nice little stories that would be an asset to this collection. (in case readers are finding it difficult to find resources) :)

Greetings;

I'm new to LibriVox and seeking guidance.

I'm writing to ask whether the Christmas Collection is closed. If so, is this forum (Readers Wanted: Short Works (Poetry & Prose)), the correct location to post poetry relating to Christmas?

Thanks for the help.

Regards,

Doug

It was supposed to be closed on November 1st, but I had a work project come up that requires me driving to another office an hour each way, so I've been too knackered to check in and catalog things. Luckily for me, I'm off for a week starting on the 20th, so I'll catalog it then. Anything you can get recorded by that date is good.

Sorry for my absence. I'll do better, I promise!

A Ballade Of Old Loves – Carolyn Wells

This is my first submission. I am using a Logitech 350 (USB) mic, and running Audacity (version 1.2.5). Any suggestions on improvement will be appreciated (I am trying to watch my breathing, and re-recording as necessary). On the site, I am posting both MP3 (@ 128kbps, etc) and OGG.

Please let me know if this is the correct form for submission.

My intent is to create audio recordings of most of the public domain Christmas poetry that I've collected and published on this site (about 195 files). This is expected to be a long-term project.

Regards,

Doug Anderson

Hi Tina,

I just recorded a chapter called Little Bun Rabbit for a collaborative version of L. Frank Baum's Mother Goose in Prose. As it turns out, it is a very sweet story about a little rabbit who visits Santa Claus and models for him so he can make stuffed bunny toys for little children. It is about 12 minutes long. I'm including the link here in case you want to use it. The only change that would be needed is to omit "end of Mother Goose in Prose" from the recording as it was the last chapter in the book.

http://download.yousendit.com/CD7D21944DDEE79F

I can pando it to you if you'd prefer. Just let me know. And good luck with the cataloguing.

Judy
