Thank you very very much everyone for pulling together as always, (especially for re-recording things and updating the mw). David L, I shall enjoy listening to chapter ten during the week. No one has posted or sent me a PM about editing chapters 1, 2 and 7.

All the best,
Sandra.

I will start with Chapter 7 then, and see how it goes this week.

PL Notes for Chapter 9

Metadata
Track title should be "Chapter 9 - Thoughts on Singing" not just "Chapter 9" (see Page 1 of this thread)

Silence - there are about 5 seconds in the beginning and about 5 seconds at the end. Since this a normal chapter and not a dramatic part you should have about 1 second in the beginning and for a recording over 30 minutes 10 seconds at the end.

I could have fixed these two and uploaded a new version, but this third item needs you. This is one of the rare cases where I follow Algy's lead and take a stand on pronunciation.

24:13 you pronounced wound as if it rhymed with sound, and not wound that rhymes with tuned.
the phrase "wound the cultivated ear"

If nobody else has claimed it, I would like to volunteer to splice together Chapter 2.

Kevin - Narration in Chapter 7 , could you please record the following stage directions...
(no need to redo or edit the existing narration file, just the following lines will do, thanks)

*please read the full names listed below, no need to read the abbreviated names.

and please save as pianoandsong_extranarration_07
MRS. SPRIGGINS (to Dominie)

MRS. S. (dismisses the subject, and asks suddenly).

MRS. S. (interrupting).

MRS. S. (not attending to him, but turning to Emma)

JOHN SPRIGGINS (entering with his daughter Lizzie).

DOM. (casting down his eyes,—the servant brings ice).

MRS. S. (condescendingly, in a low voice)

MRS. S. (playfully)

MRS. S. (less sharply).

JOHN S. (to his wife)

MRS. S. (condescendingly)

DOM. (Takes leave.)

End of Chapter 7.

Very rough first draft of Chapter 2

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/neb/pianoandsong_02_wieck.mp3

I have sent a PM to our narrator asking for the recording of stage directions.

After that, there is a of editing/fine tuning to do (volume, silences, noise cleaning &c.) before being ready for PL.

Thank you :D

David (aradlaw) has brought to my attention that the narrator files have been named pianoandsong_##_wieck so far, which is a problem since that is also the name of the edited chapters (thank you again David :D).
I have renamed all the files (including the last 2 ones, updated in the MW) from the narrator for the dramatic parts to: pianoandsong_narrator_## instead. It would be great if we could follow that scheme from now on.
I hope I did not mess it up, else let me know :D

And I'll take the time to thank the amazing PLing/editing team here, you're doing a great job, and I'm almost worried there won't be a chapter left for me to edit (but that's OK, i can live with that ). But let me know if you need help.
